About me
During a solo trip to Darjeeling in 2017, I realised for the first time an urge to document the nuances of human life. I came back and started taking long walks throughout my city, Kolkata, with my camera. Gradually it developed into an obsessive hobby and after completing my post-graduation in 2019, I decided to make it my profession.

I chose Photojournalism because no other stream of photography can offer such an immersive experience with people from all different shelves of life. This is the best opportunity to explore, capture and interact with the world around us.

As an interdisciplinary photo and videographer, specialising in journalistic and documentative fields, I aspire to create works that will provoke thoughts and reflect the power of reality.

After completing a diploma course in Photojournalism from Udaan School of Photography (Mumbai), I started working as a freelance photographer at Nur Photo Agency in Kolkata in 2022. In 2023, I again came back to Mumbai with a three-month long photography internship in The Times of India (Mumbai). After the successful completion of the internship, I began working as a freelance photo and videographer at Forbes India magazine and since January 2024, I am working as a staff photographer at The Indian Express (P) LTD (Mumbai).
